Job Description:

We are looking for an Associate Director of Sustainability with a track record in project management and delivery of sustainability management services to major construction projects who shall principally be responsible for the development and directorship of AESG’s sustainability consultancy division in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for sustainability and a willingness to work across multiple disciplines and industries to drive the market towards more sustainable development.

The successful candidate will form part of AESG’s dynamic Sustainability Development department located in our Riyadh headquarters. The role will include independent project management of complex design and construction projects, covering all aspects of sustainability including resource management, health and wellness and aspirational sustainability targets such as net zero certification.

Essential Skills:

• A Master’s degree in Sustainable Engineering / Architectural Engineering or similar
• Other qualifications in sustainability related to design/engineering such as LEED, Mostadam or equivalent
• Minimum of 12 (twelve) year-experience across the fields of sustainability and energy in buildings
• Develop business plans and strategies for capitalising on existing relationships and entering new markets
• Independently manage complex projects with multifaceted technical scope and stakeholder management both internally and externally (internal technical team, relevant authorities, clients, subconsultants etc…)
• Strong leadership, interpersonal / people management, and mentoring skills
• Financial responsibility of the division in Saudi Arabia to ensure profitability
• Experience in managing PMC activities at a client / consultant level
