Job Description:

We are looking for a Building Physicist with a track record in delivery of whole life carbon modelling and energy/carbon consultancy services to major construction projects. This role will principally be responsible for completing energy, embodied carbon and whole life carbon models across all project stages, providing consultancy advice to clients on energy/carbon reduction opportunities.

The ideal candidate will have a passion for energy modelling and sustainability with a willingness to work across multiple disciplines and industries to drive the market towards more sustainable development.

The successful candidate will form part of AESG’s dynamic Sustainability Development department located in our London headquarters. The role will include independent project management of complex design and construction projects, covering utilising advanced energy modelling skills in IES and embodied carbon modelling skills in OneClick LCA.

Essential Skills:

  • Degree in a relevant subject (Architecture, Engineering, Sustainable Development etc.)
  • 3+ (three) years’ experience with both operational energy modelling utilising IES-VE software and embodied carbon modelling utilizing OneClick LCA (or similar) software
  • Technical expertise in whole life carbon modelling
  • Industry leadership through participation in industry professional groups and conferences
  • Develop business plans and strategies for capitalising on existing relationships, generating multiple instances of repeat work with clients as well as entering new markets
  • Independently manage complex projects with multifaceted technical scope and stakeholder management both internally and externally
  • Supporting commercial management of projects
  • Strong leadership, interpersonal / people management, and mentoring skills
  • Experience in managing PMC activities at a client / consultant level
