Deejan Ferrao is a Senior ESG Manager at AESG Australia, bringing extensive experience in environmental sustainability and engineering consultancy. In his role, Deejan leads initiatives that assist clients in achieving their sustainability objectives, focusing on green building certifications and decarbonisation strategies.
Prior to joining AESG, Deejan spent over seven years at the Green Building Council of Australia (GBCA), where he played a pivotal role in the development and implementation of the Green Star Rating tools, particularly the Future Focus suite. His contributions have been instrumental in advancing sustainable practices within the built environment sector.
In recognition of his impact on the industry, Deejan was awarded the 2023 Jack Pirie Young Engineer of the Year by the Chartered Institution of Building Services Engineers (CIBSE) ANZ Region.
His expertise encompasses ESG strategy, carbon management, and sustainable design, making him a respected figure in the field of environmental sustainability
