Nilesh is a Sustainability professional with a bachelor’s degree in chemical engineering and pursuing MSc in Building Service Engineering at Herriot Watt University, UK.

Nilesh Deshpande is a distinguished, qualified, and seasoned sustainability specialist with over 18 years of experience focusing on Cost-effective Sustainable Strategies, Energy and Carbon Management, Energy Modeling & Simulation, Decarbonization, Climate Risk and Mitigations, Renewable Energy Projects, Net-Zero Design and Construction, Sustainability Certification Project Management, ESG Reporting and Corporate Sustainability. Worked and managed a variety of sustainable projects from retail, residential, commercial, educational, and hospitality buildings to large-scale mega & giga masterplan developments, including their infrastructure designs in the Middle East and India region.

He is working as Associate Director of Sustainability at AESG, he applies his knowledge and experience leading sustainability practices & team for AESG’s esteemed clients in the region.

Nilesh is accredited by the Association of Energy Engineers as a Certified Energy Manager (CEM) and LEED Accredited Professional by USGBC. Additionally, he is ISO 14064 -1 & ISO 14064-2 Greenhouse Gas Accounting (GHG) Lead Verifier. He has worked extensively with multiple energy modeling and carbon analysis tools, including IESVE, Visual DOE, Energy Plus, One Click LCA, etc. Nilesh has also been responsible for delivering technical training programs on the use of IES energy modeling software throughout India and the Middle East.

With a strong technical engineering background, demonstrated excellent leadership skills in project management, stakeholder engagement and effective communication. Passionate about guiding the team towards success through mentorship and skill development.
