Dibba Port Expansion

The project is a proposed expansion of the existing Dibba port in Fujairah, UAE.  The Port of Fujairah development includes the construction of a 6.5 km truck haul access road connecting the landside quarries to the new 45 Ha stockyard located upstream of Wadi Dalam Dam in the mountainous area of Dibba. The upgrade will allow for the berthing and operation of 80,000 DWT to 120,000 DWT vessels transporting of aggregate materials. It is also proposed to relocate the existing fishing harbour at Dibba Port to a new location nearby and create additional land by the reclamation of material from dredging activities.

AESG was appointed to undertake the following:

  • Fire & Life Safety Strategy Design
  • Fire fighting facilities – internally and site wide
  • Evacuation strategy
  • Structural fire resistance requirements / Space separation 
  • Fire protection systems
  • Fire Vehicle/Boat access
  • Fire water supply requirements
  • Automatic fire detection and alarm systems, including public address and visual alarm systems where necessary
  • Smoke control systems
  • Fire safety management procedures
