An Environmental and Social Impact Assessment (ESIA) is the process of determining a project’s impacts on its surrounding environment and identifying potential measures and design options for minimising them. An ESIA is a valuable exercise for determining existing conditions and receptors sensitive to specific environmental components, such as air quality, noise levels, soil and groundwater quality, biodiversity, the marine environment and socio-economic elements.
Our team of environmental scientists, engineers and experts have collective decades of experience in conducting ESIAs for a variety of project types around the world ranging from infrastructure and utilities, marinas and reclamation projects, master plan developments, industrial and manufacturing plants, oil & gas projects and other specialty projects. Our studies are always tailored to the project context, local regulations, international best practice as well as international guidelines and principles such as the IFC Performance Standards and Equator principles.
