The project includes the development of social and affordable housing in the Kingdom of Bahrain on two sites which is being developed through a Public-Private-Partnership between the Ministry of Housing and a Consortium. The project in total shall consist of over 3,000 social housing units, over 1,000 affordable housing units, commercial units, a school and amenities. The development is pursuing a first for the region LEED Neighbourhood Development certification for the development masterplan as well as a LEED New Construction certification for the Apartment Blocks.
In 2014, through AESG’s work, a LEED ND pre-certification was achieved.
