Thermal Insulation Policy Guidelines

The government of Bahrain has a mandate to complete 40,000 housing units by 2030. The Ministry of Housing has commissioned AESG to identify best practices in design, construction technique and materials linked to thermal insulation. The study is to look at both new and existing buildings.

AESG has been selected based on our strong multidisciplinary approach and knowledge of the environmental codes, energy modelling capabilities and experience in façade construction technologies. AESG shall develop the thermal insulation policy guideline for residential buildings including 30 options for cost effective insulation options for wall, roof, window The document shall serve as a technical guideline for developers, designers, contractors and vendors in the Kingdom of Bahrain.
