Anas is the Head of the Building Physics team at AESG, delivering a comprehensive range of services related to design and performance optimization at building and masterplan level.
Starting his career as an HVAC Design Engineer, he transitioned into sustainability, focusing mainly on optimizing energy use in building systems. He is an ASHRAE Certified Energy Modelling and Energy Auditing Professional.
With over a decade of experience, Anas specializes in HVAC design, energy modelling, commissioning, energy audits, daylight and glare analysis, net-zero design, indoor air quality and thermal comfort studies (indoor and outdoor), CFD and natural ventilation analysis, and solar PV sizing.
His project experience covers a wide variety of building types, including offices, educational facilities, hospitality developments, pavilions, hospitals, laboratories, mixed-use complexes, residential buildings, clubhouses, mosques, banks, data centers, libraries, industrial sites, airports, museums, villas, and laundries.
Anas has successfully delivered projects across numerous international markets, including the UAE, Saudi Arabia, the United States, New Zealand, India, Bangladesh, Qatar, Kuwait, Oman, and the United Kingdom.
In addition to his project work, Anas contributed as a Lead Contributor in the development of the ASHRAE Building Energy Modeling Professional (BEMP) Exam Guide and has served for three years as a member of the ASHRAE Certification Exam Subcommittee.
