Ferruh Ertekin joins AESG as Head of Mission Critical, bringing over 20 years of specialized experience in the design and delivery of high-performance data centers and power infrastructure across Europe, the Middle East, and Africa.
As a Chartered Engineer, Ferruh has led the design of mission critical infrastructure for major cloud providers, colocation operators, and enterprise clients throughout the EMEA region. His portfolio includes hyperscale data center regions, multi-site campus developments, and HV/MV power infrastructure projects across Germany, Norway, Denmark, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, and the UK. His technical expertise spans the full project lifecycle—from masterplanning and utility coordination through detailed design and construction documentation—with particular strength in solving complex power infrastructure challenges for AI and cloud computing workloads as well as traditional deployments.
As Head of Mission Critical at AESG, Ferruh will lead a specialized team of engineers delivering comprehensive services across the full project lifecycle—from conceptual design and masterplanning through detailed engineering, technical advisory, construction phase support, and commissioning assistance for data centers and power infrastructure. His focus encompasses high-density power distribution systems for AI workloads, traditional colocation facilities, advanced cooling infrastructure integration, and complex grid connection strategies for mission critical facilities capabilities that directly address critical regional challenges including power availability constraints, utility capacity limitations, and the technical demands of next-generation computing platforms.
This positions AESG to capitalize on the substantial market opportunity presented by accelerating demand for data center capacity across EMEA, particularly in the Gulf region where power availability, cooling infrastructure, and grid integration present critical challenges for hyperscale and colocation developments. The establishment of the Mission Critical unit represents AESG’s strategic entry into this high-growth sector, positioning the firm to serve data center developers, operators, and large-scale infrastructure stakeholders throughout the region.
Ferruh is a Chartered Engineer (CEng) and member of the Institution of Engineering and Technology (IET), as well as a member of IEEE and the U.S. Green Building Council. He is based in the UAE.
