Alan Meyrick

Alan is a highly-skilled security practitioner with 22 years of experience. With his knowledge of risk and security methodologies and theories he provides a robust underpinning to the consultancy work he undertakes, allowing him to deliver risk- based projects across numerous environments and sectors.

Alan’s area of expertise includes the application of Risk Management and the Risk Assessment cycle (ISO 31000), Crime Prevention Through Environmental Design (CPTED), Situational Crime Prevention paradigms and Counter-Terrorism Strategy. Alan is also a Suitably Qualified Security Specialist (SQSS) and a SABRE Assessor and Professional.

Alan holds a number of security qualifications and certifications, including an MSc in Security Risk Management, a Certified Protection Professional (CPP) with ASIS and is a Certified Security Management Professional (CSMP) and is a member of the Security Institute (MSyI)

Alan has experience of developing security policies, practices, and procedures on Critical National Infrastructure projects in the UAE and Qatar, as well as extensive experience in Threat, Vulnerability and Risk Assessment (TVRA) on a wide range of projects within the UK and internationally including Lebanon, Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, Qatar, and the Philippines.
