JOB PURPOSE
- Deliver Acoustics consultancy service to AESGs clients
- Execution of projects
- Primarily building Acoustics design with some environmental acoustics
- Project management
- Undertaking acoustic calculations
- Room acoustic calculations and modeling
- Environmental noise assessment and noise modeling
- Developing acoustic design and specifications for building and infrastructure
- Acoustic measurements, Acoustic report writing, Drawing production, mark-ups, sketches
QUALIFICATION / EXPERIENCE
- Bachelors degree in architecture, Engineering or a Bachelors Degree or Post Bachelors qualification (Dip/Msc etc.) in Acoustics, Sound Engineering, Music Technology.
- Software Experience: Environmental Acoustics such as Cadna or Soundplan Room Acoustics such as EASE, Odeon, CATT, Treble Autocad, SketchUp, Microsoft Suite, Adobe InDesign.
- Generally, a minimum of 2-5 years of professional experience.

RESPONSIBILITIES
- Work with various clients to provide engineering advice and technical solutions on different projects.
- Coordinating teams-where possible, preparing documentation, and developing project plans.
- Participates and undertakes tasks that relate to the design and development phase of a project.
- Writes reports, specifications and technical notes with reduced guidance and document overview.
- Carries out calculations, develops system drawings and specifications.
- Prepares drawing plans and undertakes markups to represent the acoustic strategy on drawings.
- Undertakes environmental surveys and acoustic tests.
- Engaging in the implementation and maintenance of the IMS and its processes and in achieving expected outputs.
- Able to reply to technical client emails even at Schematic or Detail Design stages on case-by-case scenario.
- Undertake research, further studies and CPDs in order to increase the academic knowledge and professional skills.

- Industry Experience / Thought Leadership-Demonstrated industry experience on a wide range of related project types, proven ability to efficiently manage project deadlines.
- Project Management / Operational Delivery- Ability to independently manage the delivery of smaller projects ($50k) in a client facing role. Strong knowledge of technical discipline with experience in executing previous projects to a high level of independence.
- Leadership / Team Management Experience- Commence taking on elements of team management in sub projects. Demonstrable experience in managing a small team of 2 or more, on live projects, or mentoring junior team members / graduates.
- Commercial Acumen / Business Development- Manage commercials on project delivery with support from more senior team members. Assist in creation and delivery of proposals.
- Problem Solving / Decision Making- Coordinating tasks and solving specific problems within the areas of responsibility.
