Qariyat Al Hidd

Back

The Qariyat Al Hidd project is a master plan residential community being designed for Saadiyat Island, Abu Dhabi. The project consists of 17 individual buildings with some retail components and has a total GFA of 198,000 sqm.

Individual waste handling and collection strategies were developed for each building to facilitate efficient transfer of waste. Waste collection points, loading bay areas, and the overall master plan strategy were also developed. These were designed taking into account local equipment availability and feasibility of installation and operation. To ensure compliance with Estidama regulations and provide for better waste segregation, trisorter chutes were recommended for all buildings. For retail waste, a separate strategy was developed to ensure that retail waste transfer and collection could take place through the same loading areas.
